1 Shift the drive in to neutral.
2 Coat the full length of the propeller shafts with propeller grease 828250.
3 Install the front propeller.
Install the front propeller nut, chamfered edge forward.
NOTICE! Chamfered edge of the propeller nut must face forward. Incorrectly installed nut could
result in propeller loss and drive damage.
4 Torque nut to 60 Nm (45 ft. lb.).
Use prop tool 3862797 and torque wrench.
5 Install the rear propeller.
Install the rear propeller nut, chamfered edge
forward.
6 Torque nut to 100 Nm (75 ft. lb.).
Use torque wrench and 30 mm socket.
7 Remove the wood block.
Both propellers should turn freely.
For aluminum propellers, if the propeller nuts are
difficult to remove, do not use the wood block to stop
the propellers from turning. Use the control mechanism
to shift the drive to forward or reverse. When in gear,
the propeller shafts will only turn in one direction.
