My spring set had 2 of the plastic springs. I bought two sets . Both the same no original steel spring included. I followed directions as per your tech and redrilled and installed 4 plastic springs. I cleaned and lubed tracks with a silicone spray. No difference in operation of windows. Still difficult to slide open.
